The Fundamentals of Air Service Development:

In this course, you will learn the fundamentals of air service development from both traditional and post-pandemic viewpoints.  We will highlight the importance of working with your local stakeholder communities, as well as what pieces of information will be critical in facilitating a “seat at the table” as airline schedules evolve. 
 
We will also provide an overview of the global and U.S. airline industry, including a review of each carrier's recent history.

 

Traffic Forecasting Data, Tools & Techniques:

Detailed route level profitability intelligence is one of the most closely guarded sets of information at most airlines – and also one of the most important to airports and communities in maintaining and expanding existing air service.  In this course we explain various airline methodologies of evaluating route profitability and how many can be approximated through analysis sourced via traditional airline data sources. We also look at how these methodologies extend to forward-looking route forecasts which are utilized in more advanced air service development business cases.

This is a course for those who wish to learn the most up-to-date techniques to generate both short and long-term traffic forecasts. Delegates will learn different methodologies to produce both qualitative and quantitative forecasts while running practical “hands on” exercises throughout the course.
